About Me

Greetings,

My name is Ben Murray, The SaaS CFO, and welcome to The SaaS Academy!  Through this site, I’d like to share my passion for SaaS metrics, finance, accounting, and economics.  I was an in-house SaaS CFO for eight years in founder-owned and private equity-backed companies. And now I continue my CFO journey as a fractional SaaS CFO.

It all started with The SaaS CFO ® brand in 2016. Through The SaaS CFO brand, I offer fractional CFO services, coaching, newsletters, podcasts, and courses.

I have worked within small, private technology firms up to global multi-billion dollar organizations.  I also worked in the airline industry coming up through the ranks of financial planning and analysis.

I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA from the University of Iowa.  While residing in Tennessee, I sat for and passed the CPA examination.
